103-Floral Digital art

This is a quick Floral Digital art I did last night.I painted the florals in twisted brush.It was a relaxing exercise to paint in a loose style.

I did this watercolor painting of the old barn,today for a challenge at wet canvas..I am picking up my brushes after a long time and I hope to improve my painting skills by participating in WDEs at the wet canvas forum.I realized while doing this painting how you lose the easy strokes in painting when you have a break in doing art on paper.

Doing a watercolor painting after ages (10 years)

Blogging and our new digital camera are 2 reasons for me to take up my brush again.

Blogging helps to share my works and the feedback is encouraging.

It is great that I am able to take photos of my works and upload them immediately.

096- 3 flowers in acrylics

This is an acrylic painting I did today on canvas paper 4" x 8".I am painting with acrylics after a very long time and I am sure my work shows it! I felt very happy after doing the painting and hope to start painting on canvas more often.

This is a quick sketch I did in my journal . It is a nice feeling to paint on paper.I have been doing more of digitals nowadays and painting on paper was wonderful!

I love to draw patterns with pen on paper and these are a few of them.

Drawing freehand on paper relaxes you and increases your creativity.

The designs become the base for larger patterns or spark the process for other patterns.

089-Red Tree in acrylics

The red tree is an Acrylic painting done on canvas board-11" x 14".

I did this painting in a quick impressionist style to demonstrate acrylic painting to a friend.

I have just got my new digital camera and am excited to upload my paintings on the net.Till now I could only share my digital works.Now I can share my works done in different mediums.

I have done the paintings both in corel and photoshop. I learnt to create the frame effect from a tutorial online.

I painted the brown toned painting in corel photo paint and then applied filters to acheive the red toned painting.

Today I had a wonderful time doing this Digital Abstract Art Series .It just flowed from one to the next.Creating Digital Art is exciting offering so many ways to experiment. I painted the first painting -072-in the traditional method with oil brush in TwistedBrush.Then came the exciting part of applying blending and filters to create new artworks073-081.I felt happy and relaxed after an hour of painting this Digital Abstract Art Series.

This quote is my inspiration for this design.The background is a digital abstract done by me with the saying added to it.This Digital painting is for Theme Thursday's challenge this week to create art with quote or sayings.

A long break and I am far behind in uploading images for my 100 in 100 challenge.I am creating new designs and paintings daily but have not uploaded them .I should break this habit and be more regular as I feel great when I share my works.

This is my ATC for TMTA's challenge-friendship.

I enjoyed this challenge creating the tulips from an image of large colored bulbs in photoshop and then creating the composition.I feel happy with this image and am planning to post this for sale at Reflections-my store @ zazzle.
