Pink Hibiscus Digital Painting

I just did this pink hibiscus digital painting in photoshop.I was inspired to do the painting after reading today about a tutorial on digital painting using photoshop.I have used the technique of painting and smudging the colors to get the effect.I have done a green apple digital painting in a similar style.This digital painting technique is interesting and engrossing to paint!

The above painting is actually a digital painting I did in corel photopaint with watercolor brushes simulating the way I paint on paper.Looking at the various books on watercolor painting I want to pick up my brush and paint on paper.I will create a few paintings and post them soon!

Digital Painting - Rhododendrons

I painted the Rhododendrons in twisted brush program .I did this painting for the weekly challenge at wetcanvas forum.The digital painting took 45 mins.I kept the image as reference and painted in the traditional method with the pastel brush.

Creating new designs from the zentagle design has been an excellent exercise in digital art.

Acrylic Painting-Sunlit Maples

The Sunlit Maples was one of the images given at this week's challenge at wetcavas forum.

I have painted the maple trees in acrylics on paper.

I took about 45 mins to do this 4"x 6" acrylic painting.

I am not familiar with illustrator and I usually do my artworks in photoshop or corel draw.Today I came across a tutorial for creating a cute cartoon in illustrator and learning a few tips from it I created this cute cartoon Birdie.

Colorful Parrot Digital Painting was done in twisted brush program .

It was a wonderful experience to paint this beautiful parrot.

I had been away from my painting tools as I was busy finishing 2 squidoo lenses to promote my products from REFLECTIONS,my zazzle store.

The 2 lenses are Holiday party invitations and Beautiful floral designs on mugs.

It was interesting to do the lenses.It was another way to show my creativity.I was able to highlight my best designs .It gives me immense pleasure to create new designs for REFLECTIONS,as it is an expression of my artistic self.

109-Abstract ink blot sketch

Leah's post yesterday brought back old memories(college days) of playing with ink blots and I enjoyed doing today's art. I dropped green and brown ink on a sheet of paper and blew over them to create abstract shapes,then filled the place around with doodles .
I did the sketch on a white sheet but the digital photo is a cream shade.
