Creating 'Mandalas ' is a wonderful way to relax.Drawing mandalas is spiritual when we paint without any planning but just the flow of our thoughts.Colors and design are intuitive and you feel calm after a session of drawing a mandala.

Dana of Inspiration All Around Us has posted a beautiful building to get inspired . I sure was tempted to attempt doing the building sketch .I have not painted buildings before, so, this was a new experience.

How wonderful it is to blog again! I missed being connected with other bloggers who had become my inspiring forces.Our telephone line was disconnected for the past 10 days due to civic work in our street and hence no internet.

Thank you, amanda, for your concern offering encouragement.I am committed to this project and the accountability makes it challenging,I want to create something to share.I have been working daily though I was not able to post.I have done 13 paintings in the past 10 days.I am posting them together today and I would love to hear feedbacks on them.Please scroll down to see all.

I have given a marbling effect in the background.I was exploring the different features in twisted brush and chanced on this effect to apply after painting the scenary.

005-Faraway mountains

My second painting today.The painting just csme by itself ! It started as a practice painting of the sky. Later, I added the mountains.It was enjoyable doing the painting without any restrictions as there was no reference photo and i just added the colors as i felt in free strokes.

Today's painting is an abstract inspired by aguamaureen's post today.I decided to paint my interpretation of the bright sun shining outside my window.I did this in photoshop after completing the 2 letter paintings for my power word series at affirmart.

003-Green Cup

I am painting a still life after a long time.Took an hour to do this painting in corel photo-paint.The image is one of the refrence photos given at wetcanvas forum.100 in 100 challenge is making me attempt all types of styles.I am enjoying this,taking me back to my college days. I did my bachelors in fine arts learning oil painting,watercolors,etc but later diverted to doing textiledesigning .

002-violets

I have done this painting refering to Dana marie's inspiration photo for this week.I picked up the elements from the photo but let myself just play with the strokes to create the painting. It has turned out bright.The leaves are a little stylised,not how I wanted but I am posting the painting as overall it looks o.k.I have to practice more in creating compositions.I think the 100 in 100 challenge should help me in this.

001-A beginning

Here's my first painting done in 'twistedbrush'.It is my attempt at doing an abstract painting.I am scared to attempt such works on canvas fearing I might spoil the painting.But,being a digital I could relax a little and paint freely.

Reading Rowena's official rules of the 100 in100 creative challenge today and Amanda's nudge to take one step today made me take the decision to take up the challenge officially.I was in the periphery looking up all the participants and found their experiences motivating.This exercise of painting daily should help me loosen up,try different topics and attempt new styles.I plan to explore digital painting and create paintings which I can later paint on canvas.This is a method of no mess practice session and I hope to have a collection of paintings which are interesting and impressive.I would love to sell my art-digital and canvas- online and this is my attempt to explore the medium.I am late in joining and hope to make up the number by doing extras on some days.
